Do it this way: Boil half and half 2 cups vinegar and water, add 2 teaspoons salt, 1 Tablespoon sugar, spices (mustard seeds, hot pepper, bay leaf, black pepper, 1 clove garlic).
You can make as much brine you like, usually takes about 1 1-2 cups per quart.
Boil the brine and add mushrooms to it, cook for 3-4 minutes, then scoop them and put in jars. When you run out of mushrooms, pour the brine over to fill up the jars.
Cap them and they will last forever.
Trust me, it is Sooo delicious!

I like to eat mushrooms with a beef pizza, i don't know why, but somehow the mushrooms absorbe the beef taste and color and becomes part of it, it is really a very delicious dish on the table for a family dinner. The only issue is that not all restaurants make and deliver a pizza with mushrooms and beef topping.
