Grief is so heavy. I woke up without my fur baby in my bed this morning and I feel like I can’t move a muscle. I’m all cried out for now, but I’m sure there will be more tears to come. I just appreciate that I have friends who know exactly what I’m going through. I think the fact that it’s the holidays makes everything so much harder, too. I still have animals that need me but saying goodbye to the last rescue dog in my 4 pack feels so final. Like reading the last page of a book you never wanted to finish.
