What Will Be The Best Way To Save Money At Home?
I thought to share my experience with all of you. Live went up on cost and i think people should cut down on their spending.
This is not a recipe, but I want to share how I have been trying to make things that last longer since everything has went up on price! I use mints a lot on workdays, so I started cutting them in half, making them last twice as long! I started buying cheap dollar store napkins, so I am not using paper towels for napkins! I started using half as much detergent for a load of laundry, and only a capful of bleach! I would like to hear some ideas on how you make things last longer, or save money by being conservative!

How to save lots of money at year?
Well, I buy some things from Latin and Asian / ethnic grocers like those from India ( Latino stores, Indian & Japanese etc ) & because they are cheaper than most chain stores for certain items... rice, rice noodles, bulk herbs/ best spices, dried lentils/legumes, dried mushrooms, fried dried fried shallots ( $11 / kg... stores food outlets, supermarkets are over $28 / kg), Chili's peppers / soy sauces..
Buy meat from the wholesale butchers & get it cut to our selected size free.
Green grocer & Sunday markets for fresh produce. It’s usually cheaper & better quality, also being packed loose you get to choose each piece of your fruit & vegetables.
I join loyalty groups and as a result sometimes play them off against each other. EG pet stock & pet barn (pet food supply shops in Australia ). If I buy pet food in bulk from one store the next time I buy from the other store in bulk, then the opposite store usually sends an email with discounts to get you back into the store. I almost never have to pay full price. If two people in the household have Flybuys cards; use one for a while & when the email deals aren’t as good stop using it & use the other persons card which should have better deals.
My family use the Stocard app for all our store cards & everyone in the household share cards to make the best out of deals (the whole household works as a unit in saving money).
I buy most things in a 6-8 week cycle to make the most of sale cycles, only things purchased weekly are fresh fruit, vegetables, bread & dairy. Otherwise 1 fortnight it’s meat, the next is pantry staples, the next is cleaning & hygiene followed by pet supplies etc.
Our household has been saving approximately $150-200/year on toilet paper by using family cloth to wipe after #1 (that includes washing costs... please no negative comments on the amount of TP we were using we have multiple women home 90% of the time & health issues. Also I know wiping with cloth isn’t everyone’s preference)
Mend everything that can be mended.
Cut open tubes like toothpaste etc & often you will get an extra couple of days usage out of them.
Add a little vinegar to empty jam jars, shake to ‘wash’ the last of the jam out of the jar then use it as a vinaigrette on a salad.
Bulk cooking & either freezing servings to cut back on lazy night take out or re-using them as a base for different meals (the later is our preference as it saves time & money)
Use sad looking fruits & produce in baking & cooking. Dark bananas make the best hummingbird cake & banana bread etc... in soups, stews & stocks you can’t tell that the carrots were starting to wilt or that the celery wasn’t crisp.
Learn the best way to store your groceries to get the longest life out of them. Lettuce has stayed crisp for us for 14-15 days in the fridge usually. Storing celery wrapped in aluminium foil & keeping it in the door of the fridge keeps it crisp longer, but it it is a little limp sitting it in ice water for 10-15 minutes usually crisps it back up.
Regrow food from food scraps.
If you need something look at buying secondhand first, especially in the case of exercise equipment.
You can usually get good quality near new items that are cheaper than the cheaper brands are new.
Most manufacturers of washing powders & liquids actually over estimate how much to use. It’s a marketing ploy, it makes you buy them more often.
The only time it’s really needed is if you have especially hard / mineral heavy water.
The over use of washing agents also actually abraded the fabrics in your clothing & other household cloth shortening their lifespan. I suggest experimenting, we worked out 1tbs works for us with our powder...
We changed to reusable razors & buy the blades in bulk, they are far cheaper & last forever. When you buy bars of soap open them all before you put them away, it makes your cabinet smell nice and helps the soap to cure ( get harder) your soap bars will last three times longer. I open one end of each package.
Sometimes I remember how hard live became now a days, and I put open bars of specialty soaps in drawers & closets. Even my friends say that doing so, it is not a good practice.I learned a trick when staying with some relatives in Paris France, so many years ago. Every family member had a different napkin ring with a cloth napkin at their plate. Unless the napkin was heavily soiled after the meal, it was folded and rolled and put back in your napkin ring until the next meal. Eventually the napkin was laundered and a clean one provided. No paper napkins to throw away.

I know people who saved tones of money just buying the things they really need to use at their home and savings went up at their bank accounts.
These people know when to go and buy groceries with coupons and discounts up to 50% on the dollar amounts spent.
People who buy many items and then pile those items at their garage or empty rooms on their houses, then those people end up broke and poor like hell.
Like for example, why to spend a big amount as a downpayment on a vehicle (car), when you just go to a used car lot and buy a good running vehicle with low miles for just that down payment amount.
Other words, you save what you don't spend, and when you spend money, just get the most needed things to survive. - By Sky Bashien
If someone really want to start saving money by consuming less products and services, they could end up spending more of what they should. For example: If a person stop buying vegetables and fruits and only eats grains and carbohydrates, then , their health is going to charge a very hard bill on hospital bills to pay. The reason is that it is required that we eat the right amounts of vegetables and fruits to maintain our bodies health with vitamins and minerals, carbohydrates etc.
In the other hand, if people buy cheap stuff made in Middle Orient continent (China, Taiwan, Singapore etc), usually they end up buying more often the same items because of the low quality and on top of that, those items or products are very unstable or they contaminate the environments in this country. Final thought is that people who think they are saving money while buying cheap stuff, they are lying to themselves most of the times, because they consume the worse products and services.
