How To Convert Cheap Furniture Into kitchen Cabinets?

So I’ve seen a lot of people in comments saying they wish they had a place to store Food, canned food etc.
I purchased this on Face - Book marketplace bc buying more kitchen cabinets just wasn’t going to work in our home kitchen.
I went ahead and cleaned it up, removed the VCR slot up top, and the TV tray, and purchased some wood that I will cut down with my table saw ( the store Lowe’s can cut when you purchase).
Auction Homes
I’m turning this into another pantry. I will eventually be painting it when we get to our kitchen remodel. I see these at goodwill all the time, and it’s perfect for a kitchen corner or in the garage.
I’ll try to remember to post pictures once we finish it.

We did this. I've since added shelves to the doors for spices.
May be an image of spice rack and indoor.

Where we live, people have a hard time Giving these old solid wood TV media cabinets away. I think this is a wonderful idea for recycling / up cycling these pieces - look forward to seeing your completed project.
Sometimes I prefer to buy new stuff and have it installed by someone professional who knows better about decorating and decor.

Here they sell good furniture tables, regular and leather sofas, chairs, wooden beds for $100 -$150 in goodwill but I found this one online marketplace for a lot less.

        • When my roommate moved in, we took an old entertainment center (three sections of shelving designed for an old-style TV) and moved it into the kitchen. It's one of those open kind -- not real deep but plenty wide -- that just has several shelves, no door, except for doors on the one center cabinet that's on the bottom. We turned the shelves upside down and painted the ugly undersides and edges a nice blue (which coordinates with our color scheme). When dry, we installed them blue side up. It makes it look more country-kitchen. We found some square-shaped wicker storage baskets in a trash pile, and we put things like bags of beans, flour, sugar, etc. in those. They fit on the shelves, in some of the cubbyholes, and work like great big drawers. We also put canned goods directly on the shelves. The middle section has a very sturdy cabinet on the lower part, so we put roommate's waist-high mini refrigerator on top of it. The fridge keeps our soft drinks cold and is off the ground so we don't have to bend over to the floor to get them. It makes more room for food in our regular refrigerator. On the very top we store small appliances we seldom use, like crackpots and mixers. This converted entertainment center gives us the equivalent of another pantry in the kitchen, looks pretty good, and really helps us keep things neater. It was all free (except for the blue paint) because we used what we already had or what we found for free. But I've seen these pieces of furniture being given away on craigslist or sold really cheap at garage sales and thrift stores.
