Warning my post mentions lady parts. A couple years ago during a pap smear exam , the nurse noticed I had a largish polyp on my cervix. I returned a week later after work and a doctor poked some sort of sticks up there and burnt it off. Wasn't very dignified but I've had 2 children so that went long ago, besides I had a very nice chat with the assisting nurse about waterproof mascaras. Anyway that was that - went home wore a pad for next few days and got on with my life. A male colleague of mine has just had a polyp removed from his nose. He had a general anesthetic and was signed off work for 2 weeks. Proof we are definitely not the weaker gender I think. My hoo-haa is tougher than a male nose. I was pointed out by my dad that his friend had a nose polyp and that nasal polyp removal is in fact quite painful. #polyps
