Book Of Likes

Most days I do a good job of accepting my life as it is and being grateful for all that I do have. Today, it hit me like a ton of bricks that it was this time of year about 20 years ago when I got a phone call that permanently ended my relationship with my dad because of religion. It was not my choice. There was nothing I could do but it hurts none the less. As I listen to Chopin etudes (which I fell asleep to many nights as she practiced) I can't help but mourn the his gift to me and I miss sharing it with him.
