There is a science to major depressive episodes. When your brain is exposed to a depressed state for an extended amount of time is affects your memory and brain function. I feel like I have lost so much brain capacity because of my stupid depression, I feel so so so dumb all of the time!

Everybody on here with their new Christmas engagement rings and promise rings and I'm just sitting here with my onion rings hehe ...okay I am not complaining and I congratulate all of you, I am happy too with where I am in my life. I can say now, I am living my best life. Just wish this Covid crap-dance will end soon!

People tend to see themselves as separate from nature, as opposed to part of it. Not surprising, since the majority or religions and many other spiritual belief systems assert that humans were put here by some divine entity to have dominion over the Earth and all (other) life on it.

I’m naturally a loner and I like to spend a great amount of time by myself away from people. That’s where my peace is , in solitude. I hate it when people try to fight against that instead of letting me be and understanding my personality. Just leave me alone and be happy , everything doesn’t have to be personal to you.

Not always applicable, but when over explaining is a trauma response it's worth keeping this in mind. I think sometimes it's ok to leave things misunderstood, if someone repeatedly dismisses me or gets cross with me instead of just asking for clarification. I'm starting to find it easier to know when someone is safe and genuine, and when I'm wasting my time and energy. It has been a busy Saturday for the Ulin household. Kids had their first belt test for Karate this morning. Then we headed to Chuck E. Cheese for a birthday party. Now we are on a hike through the park. And tonight we will drive through a Christmas lights display.

Holiday cards picked up and first one already delivered. This evening I will be scanning my cards into my phone and I will begin sharing our holiday joy with family and friends. Holiday greeting cards are a huge part of keeping my holiday spirits up; especially this year when it's desperately needed. Whether it says "Merry Christmas" or "Season's Greetings" or "Happy Holidays" doesn't matter. I'm going to take the time to wish others well because I am so grateful for the love that's been coming my way since my diagnosis. No matter which holidays others are celebrating in December, it's worth my time and effort.

When you ask someone what they want for a Christmas and they say something like “pay a bill” or “fill up my gas tank.” That’s because it’s something they would actually appreciate. When your response is “Well that’s no fun!” Then you buying them something isn’t even anything for them. It’s for you.
There’s nothing wrong with someone wanting to do better and move forward. If you care about them you should rather gift them with something that benefits their goals. You could buy them a $50 shirt. Or you could buy them a $50 gas station gift card that gets them to and from work for 2 weeks.

Approximately 200 cards ready to send out on Monday. I always really get in the holiday spirit when I start sending my Christmas cards. Looking forward to tomorrow when I'll do the last of my wrapping. With any luck, those last four air mail packages will show up by Monday. Now I'm going to put on the colorized "I Love Lucy" Christmas special and snuggle up with the beautiful subject of my Christmas and Holiday cards.

One of my favorite December traditions is creating and sending my annual greeting cards. I am so happy and thrilled that I have a diverse and far reaching assortment of friends that follow all faith traditions this time of year. Therefore, I have created two greeting cards. I regret that I do not have the money to spend on postage for all 600-plus of my online friends. So here you are. No matter which holiday you observe this time of year, I hope that your holiday is a safe, blessed one! I send you warm holiday greetings!
